1. Your Membership Becomes Active
Once your effective date arrives, your membership is officially active. You’ll receive welcome information and your Member ID card, along with instructions to access your digital ID through the WeShare app.

2. Set Up Your Care Access
All Sharing Programs provide access to convenient virtual care options. Many Members begin by activating their telehealth account and establishing a relationship with a Primary Care Provider. Virtual visits are 100% eligible for sharing and allow you to receive care from the comfort of home.
If you need in-person care, you can locate participating providers within the network and present your Member ID card at your visit. You’ll pay any applicable consultation fee at the time of service, and your provider will submit the bill to WeShare directly.
It’s designed to feel familiar — just with more transparency around how sharing works.
3. Understanding the Sharing Process
Here’s what typically happens after you receive care:
- The provider sends the bill for processing.
- WeShare reviews the bill according to the Membership Guidelines.
- You receive an Explanation of Share that outlines what is eligible for sharing and any amount that remains your responsibility.
As a Member, you contribute a Monthly Contribution Amount and are responsible for your Annual Member Care Share (AMCS) before certain larger medical needs become eligible for sharing.
WeShare facilitates this process on behalf of the community, helping Members support one another during times of need.
4. Explore Your Wellness Perks
Your membership also includes access to wellness perks designed to support your whole health: mind, body, and spirit. From nutrition and fitness tools to mental wellness counseling and faith-based resources, these perks are available to help you stay proactive and healthy.
